Draper’s Best Foot Forward Award at the Youth Dressage Festival

We’re so  proud to announce that we’ll be presenting our Best Foot Forward Award during Lendon Gray’s Youth Dressage Festival, July 6-8, 2012 at HITS on the Hudson.  Riders who exhibit outstanding attitude and effort towards putting their best foot forward will be recognized and awarded.

Here at Draper, we’re dedicated to giving back to those who possess a positive manner both in the show ring and out. It is a behavior in which anyone can choose to project that enables a ripple effect of “good vibes” to be passed on. ’Inspire and lead by example.’ Is a line taken from our Draper Diddy’s which not only helps us focus on who we are, but it’s something that we are excitedly looking forward to find and reward.

The Youth Dressage Festival, now in its fourteenth year, is a unique equestrian competition and educational event conducted annually by Dressage4Kids, Inc.  In addition to traditional dressage classes, the Festival includes a leadline class, a dressage trail class, musical freestyle, and a Prix Caprilli class, which is a dressage test over jumps. As a pre-requisite, the Festival requires a written test and equitation class, along with the usual ridden dressage test. The Festival also features a turn-out award, stall decorating contest, and an art contest.

We are very excited to be sponsoring the Best Foot Forward Award at the Youth Dressage Festival. This program really caters to and fosters the younger generation of dressage riders, a group that is so important to the future of dressage and equestrian sport.  We are proud to be able to recognize and support their accomplishments.
