Draper Therapies to Sponsor the Horsemanship Tests at the Rhode Island Equitation Championships
Horsemanship goes hand in hand with our company’s core values – to do good and be kind. We are thrilled to return as the sponsor for the horsemanship tests at the 2019 Rhode Island Equitation Championships.
This year there are six horsemanship tests being offered: RIHA Short/Long Stirrup Horsemanship Challenge, RIHA 2′ Horsemanship Challenge, RIHA Mini Horsemanship Challenge, RIHA Adult Mini Horsemanship Challenge, RIHA Junior Horsemanship Challenge, and the RIHA Adult Horsemanship Challenge. The final scores for each challenge are determined by a written test (60%) and the rider’s open equitation round (40%). Questions on the written exam vary from a number of topics including practical horse care and tack as well as riding theory. Winners of the horsemanship challenge classes prove that they have both the knowledge and riding skills to make them note-worthy horsemen.
